i'm back home!
after 3 days at NTU's hostel.
the 3 days fund raising.. are fun!
doesnt sound convincing.hahas
anyway
the first day.
we gathered at ngee ann to begin our event.
my team is team 5! with clara cherie and yiqian.
and unfortunately, we are one of the group with 4 people in it because almost all the others had 5.
but too bad for the other team, it didnt not affect our ability at all
anyway we set off for pasir ris at around 11 +
which is the furthest from ntu among the other areas took by other teams
and by the way, our programmer was jake, who was part of the main organiser.
so the first day we were selling tidbits and toys.
and.. ok fine the cost was pretty reasonable compared to the next few days.
and our total sales was also the best among the other days, and the other groups.
anyway
at 10 we were supposed to go back to ntu which is at the west while we are at the east.
So,
jake and the lorry driver (who was supposed to deliver our food) who was good friends, (we supposed), sent us back with his lorry!
hahas
damn exciting to sit on the back of lorry while its on the highway!
the wind just keep coming at ur face and your hair is totally distorted.
but anyway it was pretty cold too.
so we reached the hostel at around... 11.
yea
quite dirt already ah.
hahas
and we took a bath before counting the money at our room first!
and we had... WOOTS $882!
a shocking amount!
so after that clara went to count with the programmers.
and the day ended at around 2 +
day 2
rainy day!
hah our team went to doby ghaut that day.
and it was damn pathetic like wtf.
it was raining.
and there was like tons of fund raiser there.
so its a fight for "business"
but anyway
they were no match for us!
haha in actual fact its cause they are too passive and just standing there while we kept asking almost every passer-by who walked pass and managed to ignore our existence.
and sales was pretty bad
so we went back to pasir ris and went door to door again!
haha and we had a new programmer that day called alan.
he's a quite nice guy who keep treating us to drinks and helping us carry the stuffs.
and he lived in sengkang!
haha
anyway he left in the evening so. we were left alone for some time before jake came.
so the second day we were fetched back to ntu by the lorry again!
haha
and despite the poor sales in the morning, we managed to raise around.. 700
thanks mostly to sales of the supposed-to-be free bookmarks which we sold mostly at $5
and the paper with a clip for $10 and surprisingly we managed to clear it.
yea
last day
today is a programmer-free day.
so teams go off by themselves.
wanted to go pasir ris again, but its damn far and time consuming.
so we stayed at boon lay, and impromptu alighted the bus while every other teams went to the interchange.
so we went to these estates.
and.
3 hour sales for 560.
not bad right!
i must say our team sure have the talent for sales!
haha
anyway the day ended off at ngee ann again.
ethel's group managed to raise the most amount of money.
but we got second too.
and i think we'll get probably 1000$
which is abit redundant seriously
why not just give the money to SCAS instead of using it as cash prize.
but then again, if not for it, maybe most of the people wont work so hard to raise funds.
and we wouldnt be THAT motivated to work hard too.
Conclusion: the whole event was pretty meaningful.
i must say our team managed to get the second highest fund despite having only 4 people was an amazing feat.
and then again.
our whole strategy was amusing as well.
it comprises of 30% luck + 30% hardwork + 30% charm + 9% skills + 1% ELEVATOR FUN!
that last percent was very significant, but i shall not elaborate on it because it doesnt seem to upright to others though its definitely a nothing-wrong strategy.
and lastly thanks alot to team 5 for our teamwork!
the door to door sale was really fun because of the well strategised and planned flats.
thanks to the driver who sent us back almost every time and donated $20 to us!

the $50 lady who bought up most of our toys

and the every night bridge / pool people whom i still dont really know them!

tabitha - its not literally a marathon, we dont have to run.
kwee fang - its ok already. because if u knew me well enough, should know that my anger dont really last long
And Gladys! - neither have i! but we'll have alot more time when school reopens. and probably during the ogl chalet!
